Building in secret only makes sense if you’re creating deep tech.
For everyone else, you need market feedback to continually hit PMF, and you need to have a market presence to begin growing.
If building in public creates competitors, you’re actually more likely to achieve an exit, because categories with fewer players don’t have well developed M&A infrastructure, and besides, competitors rarely kill each other in startups.
